2019-2020 Learn to Skate

Welcome to Franklin Youth Hockey's Learn to Skate Registration Page

 

The ONLY Learn to Skate program affiliated with the Franklin Flyers.

 

FYHA’s Learn to Skate is designed for beginner skaters, including boys and girls with limited to no skating experience.

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Learn to Skate is open to residents of Franklin and surrounding communities, ages 3-9.

WHEN IS LTS?

Learn to Skate begins early November and ends mid-March 17 - exact dates will be determined by September. Each session runs from 12:00 – 12:50 p.m. at Pirelli Veterans Arena in Franklin.

WHAT IS THE COST?

Tuition is $225. For insurance purposes, registration with USA Hockey is required also required. The fee is approximately $48 per person (exception, birth year 2013 and after). 

WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED?

All participants are required to wear a certified hockey helmet and bring their own skates. (Bike helmets are not permitted.) To allow your child to comfortably fall while learning how to skate, we also recommend gloves, elbow pads, shin pads and a neck guard.

All skaters, regardless of age, must register with USA Hockey.

There is a fee of approximately $48 for all skaters over the age of 6. There is no fee for skaters under the age of 6, but they must be registered. The confirmation e-mail can be forwarded to the registrar at registrar.fyha@gmail.com prior to the first session or must be brought to your first Learn to Skate Session.

Please note that when registering your skater, the registration system will first ask for parent information.  Once the parent info has been submitted, you will be then able to enter your skaters information.

2019-2020 Little Flyers Program

Welcome to Franklin Youth Hockey's Little Flyers Registration Page

 

The ONLY Introduction to Hockey program affiliated with the Franklin Flyers.

 

Little Flyers (formerly FYHA’s Intro to Hockey) is an instructional program that offers young athletes, ages 4-9, an opportunity to try the sport of hockey at a low financial commitment.

Little Flyers is open to residents of Franklin and surrounding communities, ages 4-9.

WHEN IS LITTLE FLYERS?

Little Flyers begins early November and runs through mid-March - exact dates will be determined in September. Each Sunday session runs from 1:00 – 1:50 p.m. at Pirelli Veterans Arena in Franklin.

WHAT IS THE COST?

The ONLY Skills program affiliated with the Franklin Flyers.

 

FYHA’s Skills Session is designed to provide additional opportunity for the players in our
program who want to supplement their regular practice schedule with individual skill work. 

WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?

Players currently registered for FYHA U8: Gray, Blue and White, U10 Black and GU 12 teams.

WHEN IS SKILLS?

The remaining 4 sessions will be held weekly until December 1st. From 6:10 – 7:00 p.m. – U8 Gray, U8 Blue, U8 White, U10 Black, GU12 White:

 

The last eight sessions will be held bi-weekly from December 8th through March 22nd during the 6:10 – 7:00 p.m. slot. Our expectation is that teams will be split as follows: U8 and U10 teams – 12/8, 12/22, 1/5, 1/19, 2/2, 2/16, 3/1 and 3/15.

Based on enrollment, please note we reserve the right to change player dates if necessary

The pro-rated cost for the remaining 12 sessions this season is as follows:

One Child: $180 ($15 p/session)

Two Children:  $270 ($7.50 p/session)

Three Children: $318 ($4.00 p/session)
