WHO CAN PARTICIPATE?
Learn to Skate is open to residents of Franklin and surrounding communities, ages 3-9.
WHEN IS LTS?
Learn to Skate begins early November and ends mid-March - exact dates will be determined by September. Each session runs from 12:00 – 12:50 p.m. at Pirelli Veterans Arena in Franklin.
WHAT IS THE COST?
Tuition is approximately $225. For insurance purposes, registration with USA Hockey is required also required. The fee is approximately $48 per person (exception, birth year 2015 and after).
WHAT EQUIPMENT IS NEEDED?
All participants are required to wear a certified hockey helmet and bring their own skates. (Bike helmets are not permitted.) To allow your child to comfortably fall while learning how to skate, we also recommend gloves, elbow pads, shin pads and a neck guard.
All skaters, regardless of age, must register with USA Hockey.
There is a fee of approximately $48 for all skaters over the age of 6. There is no fee for skaters under the age of 6, but they must be registered. The confirmation e-mail can be forwarded to the registrar at registrar.fyha@gmail.com prior to the first session or must be brought to your first Learn to Skate Session.
Please note that when registering your skater, the registration system will first ask for parent information. Once the parent info has been submitted, you will be then able to enter your skaters information.
If you have any questions or would like additional information, please contact our Learn to Skate Director, Kevin Dickie, at kevin.fyha@gmail.com.
